De Veentjes is one of the first areas in Doetinchem where retail space is being transformed into living space on a large scale. The answer to the national problem of housing shortages and empty shops in areas close to the city centre. At the same time, the area has been made considerably greener. The project is a good example of collaboration between various parties, including the municipality and property owners.
